Imperial German Model 98/05 "Butcher" bayonet dated "W / 16", crossguard with "high ears" and grip has flashguard fitted. Blade 14.5" with makers name "R.Stock & Co". Blade with some sharpening marks, dent in scabbard. Note: Anthony Carters "German Bayonets" notes on four 1916 bayonets observed with "1916" date, no later examples noted. Service wear overall
