A mid-19th century Chinese Mandarin fan, Qing Dynasty, the lacquered and delicately painted monture well shaped at the shoulder, each stick painted with figures, the double-sided leaf featuring figures in silk robes, several of which are imperial yellow, and applied ivory faces, guard approx. 28cm; together with a 19th century Chinese silk fan sheath, rather longer than average, one side in turquoise with embroidered couched gold thread and calligraphy, the other featuring delicate embroidery of flowers, a four-legged beast, and a fish, against a gold silk ground, and a final fan, modern, with calligraphy and several red stamps to the resto and bamboo foliage to the verso, guard approx. 33 cm (3) ivory exemption number ZPPMB6JE
The Mandarin fan leaf is very damaged. The bottom panel of the fan sheath needs to be reattached to the sides
