A worksplate, VULCAN FOUNDRY, 6270, 1955, from an East African Railways metre gauge oil burning Tribal Class 31 2-8-4 No 3139 named POKOMO after a Bantu ethnic group of south-east Kenya. The class worked on branch lines throughout the EAR system. Cast brass, 9"x5¼", in ex loco condition. (Postage Band: B)
