A rare Victorian silver 'Melrose Abbey' castle top card case, by Nathaniel Mills , Birmingham 1845, 8.8 x 6.2cm, 54g, (with later suspension chain).
Overall good, however denting to corners, Castle decoration appears fairly crisp. Hinge firm, no sign of repair seen, Name Harriet Mead to cartouche. Marks readable.
