An Irish nameplate CARRA CASTLE from a London Midland & Scottish Railway (Northern Counties Committee) 5ft 3ins gauge U2 Class 4-4-0 built by the North British Locomotive Co, Works No 23172, and delivered in May 1925. Named in May 1932 after a small ruined tower near Cushendun on the north-east coast of County Antrim. Out of use by 1949, it was scrapped in January 1966. Cast brass, length 55½", the front repainted. (Postage Band: N/A)
