Evelyn Waugh (1903-1966), English Writer and Novelist. A.L.S., with his initials E.W., on one side of his personal printed correspondence card, Combe Florey House, near Taunton, 1st August n.y. (1963), to John Stathatos. Waugh states that they are looking forward greatly to his correspondent's visit and confirms 'I shall be on the platform at Taunton to meet your train at 7 on Saturday', further adding 'I am short, elderly & corpulent'.
