1917 Distinguished Service Medal, 1914-15 Star trio, WW2 Defence Medal, BWM, KGV Royal Navy LSGC and QEII Imperial Service Medal to J.873 D.E. Sexton P.O. H.M.S. Centaur (Foxglove Minesweeping 1917 on DSM, A.B. R.N. on Star, P.O. R.N. on pair, WW2 un-named as issued, Douglas Edward Sexton on ISM), WW1 & LSGC with contact marks and some edge bruising good fine or better, WW2 & ISM extremely fine, swing mounted as worn less ISM.
His DSM was announced in the London Gazette dated 17th April 1918 for Minesweeping Operations April to December 1917 and the ISM 20th December 1957 as a Motor Driver H.M. Naval Base Portland. With copied service paper, LGs and roll, he was born in Sheppey 5/9/92, enlisted as a Boy 19/2/08, served on Foxglove 5/5/15 to 26/6/18, promoted P.O. 27/2/17 and C.P.O. 12/12/26, still serving 1929.
