A QUEEN ANNE / GEORGE I BRITANNIA STANDARD SILVER BRANDY SAUCEPAN
by William Fleming, London 1714, of flaring cylindrical form, with a turned wooden handle and a shield-shaped terminal, marked to the base and maker's mark to handle, the bowl 9cm, 150gms / 4.82oz
The handle has bits missing from the turned areas / notches in it. This could originally have been from the turning or could be worn down old chips. The bowl of the pan itself is scratched, a noticeable area on the inside. As for erasures there have been initials scratched out on the base (possible HLH) though they are sctill visible so this could be just wear rather than purposeful. I do not think there has been an erasure to the rim (like an armorial or intials removed) there are scratched areas / textured areas though the gauge remains even all round
