French 1866 Pattern Chassepot Bayonet with single edged fullered blade 575mm in length, maker marked and dated to spine of blade "St Etienne 1874". Brass grips. Crossguard serial numbered 23265. Working release catch. Overall length 700mm. Complete with scabbard with matching serial number.
Good clean condition. No paint left on scabbard.
