Acoustic Guitar. Late Victorian/ Early 20th century acoustic guitar in wooden coffin shaped carry case lined with velvet. Round mother of pearl decorative circles on the pins on the guitar bridge. Interior label for Duff & Co. 65 Oxford Street. Listed by the British museum as music publishers they also retailed instruments. body of guitar is 43.5cm long, 29.5cm wide at the widest point and 23cm wide at the second widest point. The neck is 57cm long and the tuning peg base plate is engraved. Box has H.Knox inscribed on exterior. Provenance- from a Suffolk country house.
