Fossil: Carved Genuine Dinosaur Bone in the shape of a Heart.
A piece of agatised dinosaur bone that has been carved and polished into the shape of a heart. This process exposed the inner cell structure of the bone. It has wonderful coloration and the cell structure is very well defined. Based on the size of the cells as well as other features of the bone it is almost certainly from a Sauropod dinosaur.
Dating to the Jurassic Period, between 145-200 million years old!
Collected and prepared in Morocco.
Agatised bone, sometimes referred to as "gembone", is fossilised dinosaur bone in which the original fossil material has been replaced by silica. The impurities within the silica are what give the bone color.
The perfect gift for any dinosaur lover!
Suspended in a membrane display frame.
