A Royal Vienna porcelain cabinet plate, hand painted central scene depicting Cupid on a chariot being pulled by maidens, inscribed in red on reverse "Triumph d'Amor ap Kaufmann" , after a composition by the Swiss Neo-Classical painter Angelica Kaufmann RA (1741-1807), tooled gilded decoration to the border on a cobalt blue ground, underglaze blue beehive mark beneath, 24.5cm. diameter.
