A late 18th or early 19th century Balkan Miquelet flintlock pistol, the full stock, rat tail butt and trigger guard clad with engraved brass and pewter, engraved steel lock and barrel, the barrel with faded inscription and makers or proof mark, overall length 49.5cm.
*Frissen and trigger stiff, Miquelet locks at full-cock and is very difficult to free, some dents to brass mounting, repair between ram and muzzle, no ram but that is not unusual in Balkan Rat-Tail pistols.
