1670-1800s collection of pre-stamp postal history written up on pages with markings identified, including 1670 entire to London with a Bishop mark, 1707 entire from Bideford to Devon with Bishop mark, and later Bishop marks on entires from 1730s-1786 and with Scottish Bishop marks, Government Penny Post entires with Dockwra markings for the General Office, Temple, and Westminster, a large selection of early date stamps and post paid stamps on entires, as well as instructional, inspectors markings, town markings, wheel tax, and free franks.
