Pair of Japanese cloisonne urns, Meiji period, of globular form with banded globe finial on a dome cover, the bodies with large turquoise reserves depicting eagles, birds and peonies, within a background of birds and butterflies amongst foliage, H30cm.

Finials loose. Dirty and pitted throughout. No visible signs of substantial enamel loss. One vase has hairline crack on one of the larger blue areas.
