A large Bretby figural pottery jardiniere, modelled as a monkey holding a basket, model no. 1251, basket diameter 35cm, height 28cm
Top rim of basket has 3 chips with 1 being partially repaired, monkey's right hand has a repaired break at the wrist, the join between the arm and the basket is cracked and has probably previously been repaired with some old overpainting, jardiniere crazed all over
