Reference Number: No: 1284/4810 Gold plated lattice work overlaying cream-coloured lacquer barrel and cap, the cap reminiscent of the Pontifex Maximus’s tiara and the papa’s clothing colour, with an 18K gold engraved nib bearing the seal of Julius II, with original packaging Pope Julius II is renowned as one of the most influential clerical patrons of the arts, credited with transforming Rome into the epicentre of Renaissance culture. His support nurtured the talents of artists such as Michelangelo and Raphael. Among his notable achievements are commissioning the iconic frescoes adorning the Sistine Chapel and initiating the construction of St. Peter’s Church.
