A substantial and magnificent silver trophy cup and cover, by George Nathan and Ridley Hayes Birmingham 1913, the domed cover with urn finial above Acanthus leaf decoration, the base with twin leaf capped scroll handles, an engraved inscription, a raised girdle above further Acanthus leaf decoration, set on a circular stepped foot. 16 inches (41cm) high, weight 2530 grams. * The engraved inscription which is below an engraved crest and '4th Bn. The Buffs' is as follows 'The Sittingbourne Challenge Trophy, Presented to the E Company 4th Battn. The Buffs by Subscribers and Friends for Annual Competition December 1913'.
