A George V silver mounted glass hip flask by James Dixon & Sons Ltd, Sheffield 1919, of rounded rectangular form with brown leather cover and hinged bayonet clasp, 13.8cm long together with an associated detachable stirrup cup with monogrammed initials 'SA', 4.8cm high
Flask: Good order. No cracks, chips or losses to the glass. General scratching and wear consistent with age and use. Heavy scratching and wear to the leather cover. Some small dents to the lid, moderate scratching and general wear. Bayonet mechanism is in working order, and cork to lid is still present and in tact, though is slightly loose.
Cup: Heavy scratching, particularly on the base, some pitting concentrated at the corners and edges. Engraving is clear. Gilt interior shows moderate wear and scratching. No splitting, large dents or signs of repair.
