Four fans dating from the 1890’s, the first with a gilded black wood monture, the recto in fabric, lamé, and the verso in black glazed cotton, guard length approx. 31cm; a wood fan painted pale turquoise, the fabric leaf mounted à l’anglaise, a cream silk painted with roses and overlaid with a coloured lace to match the sticks, further embellished with white marabou near the lower border, guard approx. 34cm; a third fan, the monture of wood painted black and lightly gilded, the black gauze leaf painted with yellow daisies and small white blossom, then applied with black machine lace, guard approx. 36cm; and finally a Spanish tourist fan with vibrant flowers and applied with white machine lace (4)
