MCQUEENS INTERNATIONAL - DESIGNER JAPANESE DRESS, BLACK SILK DRAGON KIMONO, & SILK KIMONO & JACKET. An interesting Japanese full length dress, made from parts of an earlier silk kimono, and with a gold coloured and silk lining, with a label for 'McQueens International' (140cms long). Also with a peach coloured silk jacket with 3/4 length matching trousers (jacket 99cms high) and a full length 20thc black silk Kimono with gold embroidered Dragons to the reverse and further detailing to the front (142cms high). *The designer dress was made for a Royal Visit by Princess Anne to Tokyo in 1983, she visited the Embassy, this was made with the idea that it is made by a British designer from a traditional Kimono. It was made for a diplomat's wife and has passed through the family. *CR See online images.
