A French musical Automaton by Leopold Lambert, c. 1895 With Jumeau bisque character head stamped in red "Déposé Tête Jumeau 4", modelled as a child with brown glass eyes, closed mouth, pierced ears and blonde mohair wig, holding strings to a papier-mâché polichinelle marionette in original paper-trimmed satin costume, on figured-velvet covered base with going-barrel movement playing one air, working, with stop start button and brass JB key.
