A VERY DECORATIVE IRISH SILVER & GILT CIBORIUM, the lid with a cross finial, the bowl decorated with raised bead boughs above beautiful repoussé work that is mirrored on the clover shaped base – depicting sheafs of corn, grape vines, cross & the intertwined letters JHS. Hallmarked for Dublin, with a date letter of ‘P’ for 1910, maker’s initials of J.S possibly for John Smyth & Son. Engraved dedication found to the end of the base. Total weight: 728grams. Dimensions: 28 x 14 x 14cm (H to tip of finial x W x D of base).
