Leather match football, formerly the property of the late George Best, Manchester United and Northern Ireland International footballer and crowned European player of the year after winning the 1968 European Cup with the Manchester United team. Best scored in the 4-1 victory against Benfica at Wembley in extra time. He kept the ball, signed in nineteen places including Bobby Charlton, Alex Stepney and Brian Kidd was housed in a glass showcase (PROVENANCE: Acquired from George Best in the late 1970s by a young apprentice footballer drinking and training partner who George took a shine too)
