An 18th century oil on canvas portrait study of a gentleman in an inn. Of Flemish origin, the man holding a tankard and leaning out of a window, wearing 17th century style clothing with ruff. Framed in a later gilt wood and gesso frame (a little worn commensurate with age). Unsigned. Measures approx. 21.5cm x 18.5cm, frame to measure 45cm x 41cm.
