Two 19th century Staffordshire pottery greyhound figure groups
The piece bearing the lot number sticker has been subjected to restoration. The standing dog has lost its head at some point. This has been repaired and filled, and the repair is still visible. The colour match on the dog's throat is not good. The grey dog has had a repair to its mouth, with just the tip of the nose now missing. This piece also has loss of original colour in various places.
The second piece has marks on the upright dog's spine which give the impression of cracks but these are believed to be firing imperfections, One ear on this dog has been restored, and the snout of the other dog has also been restored. Some loss of original colour.
