£280
Two albums containing around 300 standard size postcards of the Northumberland area. Lots of buildings and churches but a good number of street scenes too – mainly colour printed, but a few good real photographic cards including three of Amble (one a shopfront), Pegswod, Embleston, Warworth (x2) and Haudley lifeguard crew 1926 (some creasing). There’s also some modern postcards and ephemera such as a bus timetable. The cards are slit into villages and towns – some, like Alnmouth, with several cards and others with one or two views. There’s also some larger images from the Newcastle Upton Tyne City Libraries illustrations collection. Most of the postcards are in good collectable condition, but a number have faults such as creasing, edge bruising and corner knocks.
