A RARE PAIR OF 18TH CENTURY PAINTED GLASS SCENT BOTTLES within original shagreen case, the Bristol blue glass bottles with 18ct gold and enamel tops, firmly attributed to the London Workshops of James Giles, C1765. 5.5 cm x 3.5 cm. Note: See the V & A for a gilded glass bottle - Scent bottle , blue glass, cut and gilt and with gold mount England (London or possibly Birmingham), about 1760-70 probably decorated by James Giles Croft-Lyons Bequest (C.321 &A-1926) Decorated with a heron under a tree .(18/06/2009).
