A Louis XVI style ormolu and white marble portico clock garniture by Japy Bros, early 20th century, the eight-day movement chiming the hours and the half with a passing strike on a single bell, the case with a two-handled urn surmount supported by four turned pillars and fitted a "Sun King" pendulum bob, over a sub base with toupe feet, accompanied by a pair of similarly mounted two handled urns en-suite. 21.5 wide x 38 cm overall height. the clock.
The movement winds freely on both trains and escapes as expected the clock chimes at the hours and strike the halves as expected but this is no guarantee of reliability or accuracy. The dial is free from chips or cracks.
