QSA 3 clasps Cape Colony, OFS, Johannesburg to 7037 Pte G.J. Elliott Vol Coy K.O. Sco Bord, 1911 Coronation Medal un-named as issued, 1914-15 Star to 2570 Pte (A.Cpl) G.J. Elliot Lovat's Scts, BWM and Victory Medal to 2570 A.Cpl G. Elliot 1-Lovat's Scts extremely fine. With rare Burgh of Duns Boer War 9ct gold tribute medal engraved in 6 lines "South African War 1900 Presented to Private George Johnston Elliot 2nd V.B.K.O.S.B." Also with un-hallmarked gold coloured medallion engraved "Coronation Medal Presented by D.M.A. Club 1911" and "Won by Geo J. Elliot", with box of issue for 1915 Star and 1897 DJ WM medal for Duncastle.
With 2 copied pages of service papers, MIC and baptism records, he enlisted in KOSB 17/1/00 aged 25, discharged 28/11/00, WW1 landed Gallipoli 7/9/15, later served with Cameron Highlanders, demobilised 28/2/19. (See photo) (R)
