A SET OF FOUR GEORGIAN DESIGN MAHOGANY SINGLE DINING CHAIRS, pierced and carved splats with fabric upholstered drop-in seats
Condition report – First observation is that they are a bit low, cut down, 43cm to top of the cushion inset seat. Frames are sound, there are new wood blocks inside the corners, the pads re-upholstered, dents, scratches of use over time, one has a repair bottom of splat where joins back cross bar, patch to cross bar, one has a crack to the top crest rail and cracks to the splat and both front legs at corners, another chair has a crack right hand side of top rail, patch repair to top of front right leg. Deep dent back leg and back lower stretcher, also split to underneath back rail of seat, patch to the side cross stretcher, there are more obvious damage issues and restorations.
