An Edwardian certified sapphire and diamond cluster ring, the oval cut sapphire within a surround of eighteen old cut diamonds, with yellow metal split shoulders leading to plain polished shank, unmarked, ring size N, total diamond weight estimated 0.50ct, accompanied by a ‘The Gem & Pearl Laboratory certificate stating the natural sapphire to weigh 4.08ct, with no evidence of heat treatment and to be of Sri Lankan origin
Shank is unmarked, and please note, we have not tested the metal.
Diamonds are all present, well matched in colour and appear bright.
Inclusions are present to some diamonds, seen with x 10 loupe, appear clean to the naked eye.
Claws are present, some appear low, may require attention.
Sapphire appears clean to the naked eye.
Inclusions are present, seen with x10 loupe. Colour zoning is particularly seen.
Under bezel is thin, commensurate with age and wear.
Shank also shows thinning, and visible re sizing join.
