Indian school, 18th century, Maharani reclining on charpoy with huqqa, with Maharaja and attendants, gouache and gilt leaf, within blue and brick red borders, image only 27cm x 19cm
Upper quarter of image stained and faded, with a small 3mm x 2mm hole within the landscape on right arch. Gouache cracking in areas. Stained patch between bed and huqqa. small pinhead hole in first border at top. Looking at the rear of the paper there is a distinct vertical join which is not evident on the front. There's also a horizontal join line slightly above halfway.
