A FIRST WORLD WAR PAIR AND MEMORIAL PLAQUE TO THE MANCHESTER REGIMENT. A Great War pair comprising War Medal and Victory medal named to 277783 Pte J. Middleton Manc R. The plaque to Joseph Middleton. With a postcard of the recipient in uniform. Joseph Middleton was the son of Mr and Mrs D. Middleton of 2 Yeb Fold, Moston Lane, Moston, Manchester. He served with the 2/7th Battalion of the Manchester Regiment. He was killed in action on the 30th September 1918 and is buried at Bellicourt British Cemetery, his headstone reads 'Till We Meet Again', he was 20 years old. With Two Buckingham Palace letters. *CR Surface to plaque poor, ribbons with glue marks, suspension ring on Victory Medal bent.. A lot fee of £8 inc. VAT will be charged on top of the hammer price and BP on all lots.
