HOUSES OF PARLIAMENT 2d ENVELOPE (NO LINE UNDERNEATH TYPE) USED (WITH BRITANNIA WMK.); 20 Feb. 1840 usage of the EHP2 2d Black "To be posted at the Houses of Parliament only./Post Paid. - Two-Pence. - Weight not to exceed 1oz." envelope (slight wrinkling and minor edge wear) without line beneath inscription (full "[Britannia]" wmk.) from London to Leeds with mainly v. fine (doubled strike) red London crowned Official Paid mail cds, signed "Edw. Baines" (to his namesake son). Fine example of this very rare 2d envelope.
