£100 - £200
A Minton porcelain pot pourri and cover, circa.1825-1830, of globular proportions and painted with a scene titled 'Castle at Fondi', verso a floral bouquet, the border gilt highlighted, each handle modelled as a flowering vine extending to floral encrusting, continental underglaze blue mark, 17cm high (at fault)
The piece shows fine surface crazing throughout, rubbing to the gilt highlights, wear to the green of the handles, and further wear to areas of the castle scene. The floral encrustation shows multiple losses to leaves, stems, flower petals and some whole flowers, including the stalk of the cherry finial. Further areas of the floral encrustation show glued repairs.
