A 19TH CENTURY BRASS AND BANDED-AGATE DOUBLE PHOTOGRAPH FRAME, BY HOWELL, JAMES & CO, LONDON

pierced and engraved floral and foliate form, with two central oval frames, having hinged lids surmounted by agate-set scarab beetles, easel back, signed. 24.5cm wide

One hinged cover lacks its glass to the reverse. However, it is worth noting that the other three glasses remain in place. The easel back is in excellent condition, and the frame is structurally sound, standing firmly without issue. The decorative beetles appear to be intact. Overall, the item is in generally good condition and exhibits qualities of good craftsmanship and workmanship.
