Large European Sporting flintlock, rifled Musket. Barrel 42" approx, part round, part octagonal, of 8 Bore. Fixed rear sight with barley corn forsight (sights and rifling possibly later alterations) Brass ramrod pipes and t/guard, heavy duty lock with swan neck cock. Proof marks to breech section, walnut stock with fracture repair (no losses) heavy buttstock with cheek rest. Brass buttplate. Interesting and very large piece, impressive wall hanger. Good overall condition and working order for age (circa 1800 - 1820)
