An early 20th century quilt, comprised of twenty four florally embroidered panels in pink and red tones against a natural heavy cotton ground, joined with scrolling crochet panels, backed with rose pink fabric
The embroidered panels are show relatively strong colours, but are likely to have faded somewhat over time. Some show the odd pulled or broken thread. Some crocheted panels have been later repaired with visible stitching. Other crocheted panels show unrepaired breaks to the thread. The crochet and fabric panels all show age related darkening with some areas of dirt and staining. The backing cloth remains a relatively strong pink, but is likely to have faded somewhat over time, and shows some dirt and light staining.
