This work does have some missing paint across the lower bottom area of the picture and is also flaking around these areas with craquelure and lifting paint in places, although the signature and the inscription eg. title are intact, there is some lifting paint under the word 'lesson' in the lower left hand corner with some cracking down the right hand side edge, the central image itself appears to be intact.
