A quantity of coins, circulated, including ancient Roman, old buckles (probably metal detector finds), medallions and commemorative pieces. The 11 or so relatively low-grade Roman coins (see 2nd photo) include examples of the reigns of Trajan, Constanti Nopolis and Antoninus Pius. The commemorative medallions including a 22carat gold-plated limited-edition replica of the Bluton Trafalgar medal; and three cased solid nickel silver medallions of Osborne House with a Queen Victoria bust, Stonehenge and St Paul’s Cathedral to mark the 1981 marriage of Charles and Diana. There’s a Mary Rose piece of B.A. Seaby Ltd and a Tower Mint solid bronze medallion to mark Pope John Paul 11’s visit to Canterbury Cathedral. Also a 1982 Isle of Man World Cup crown and three cased crowns – a Guernsey silver jubilee Elizabeth 11 25p, 1965 Churchill crown and a 1953 five shillings. There are also three King’s Medals awarded to E. Wood for ‘attendance, conduct and industry’ by London Council during World War One.
