Good scarce die-stamped white metal crowned star bearing laurel sprays and strap 1ST ABERDEEN RIFLE VOLUNTEERS; St. Andrew and Cross to voided centre. (Two purpose made holes to side of circlet) Loops. VGC HQ Aberdeen. Became 1st Volunteer Battalion The Gordon Highlanders in 1884.
