David Jones (1895-1974) British. "The Curse", Line engraving, Mounted, unframed, 6.75" x 5.25" (17.1 x 13.3cm) and a companion piece "The Town" (2). Notes: David Jones's engravings for Samuel Taylor Coleridge's 'The Rime of the Ancient Mariner' represent the culmination of his career as an engraver and were his last major works in this medium. The project began in the summer of 1926 and was completed in 1929
