Two 19th century Chinese white duck or goose feather fans, the first mounted on carved wood, the gorge pierced, the feathers all with the addition of peacock feathers to the tip, fitted with a slim bi-colour silk tassel, overall height approx. 33cm; together with a bone fan, the gorge simply pierced, the feathers painted with flowers around a central vignette showing two oriental figures in a garden, the leaf feathers tipped with marabou, fitted with a silk tassel with bead, the verso painted with the same vibrant flowers as the recto, height approx. 27cm (2)
The first fan is in very good order, the feathers clean. The second fan has some losses to the paint and some loss to the marabou.
