Two 19th Century letters of appointment bearing the signature of Queen Victoria, the first letter appointing Edward Stanhope Jervois to the position of Second Lieutenant Celyon Rifle Regiment dated 1852 and the second named to Edwin Stanhope Jervois to the position of Lieutenant of the seventh regiment of foot dated 1854 (note that name Edward should have been Edwin on both documents)
