A Moorcroft metal mounted tobacco jar and cover in the Pomegranate pattern on cobalt blue ground, early 20th century, green painted William Moorcroft monogram and impressed "Burslem" maker's marks to base, 14cm high
The jar shows extensive fine surface crazing throughout and the odd small area of fine surface scratching, but no obvious chips, cracks or losses. The cover shows a hairline crack extending from the inner opening across the lower rim. Inspection under UV shows no evidence of restoration.
