FINEST DAIRY BUTTER CROCK 9.5ins tall. An extraordinary and impressive non company named crock, t.t., with original lid - 2 chips, small handles each side, & much wheeled decoration to that, the top section, and around the lower part. Strong black transfer depicts a milkmaid making the butter above two large thistles and the wording ‘Here we have/ THE/ CREAM OF THE/ MARKET.’ Below right handle is a large impressed ‘10 LB’ and below the expected Buchan p.m. Apart from lid flakes and an in manufacture lower lip flaw - glazed over (see additional detail images on easyliveauction.com).
