Decorated in relief with a dragon, 4.5 x 9cm; a 1920's bakelite style comb, 5 x 10cm; a Japanese gold lacquer comb, Meiji period, signed, decorated with arrows, 4.7 x 10cm; a Japanese gold lacquer comb, signed, 3.5 x 8.7cm; a small Japanese tortoiseshell and gold lacquer comb, Meiji period, 3.5 x 7.5cm; a large Japanese wood comb, Meiji period, signed, with floral decorated roundels, 4.5 x 12cm; a Japanese gold lacquer comb, Meiji period, decorated with cockerel and hen, 3.2 x 8.3cm; a Japanese gold lacquer comb, early 20th century, decorated with a Kingfisher and complete with kogai, comb 4.5 x 9.8cm, kogai 16cm. (9) From the collection of Pat Johnstone, a Cornish artist and sculptor, who also had a passion for collecting Asian antiques and especially Japanese combs, kogai and kanzashi. Her collection has been curated for over 40 years and includes items from the Miriam Slater collection.
