A Victorian brooch/stock pin, designed as an Essex crystal type, reverse painted intaglio depicting a foxes mask, against a bar designed as a riding crop, unmarked, attached safety chain, 5.6cm wide, within a fitted case
The reversed painted intaglio is quite worn, the pigment absent in a multitude of areas, the crystal is excessively scratched with nibbles throughout, the collet setting is quite tarnished to the reverse, the piece would benefit from a good clean, the riding crop bar is tarnished to the handle, the clasp is functioning, the entire piece would benefit from a good clean, the piece shows signs of wear commensurate with age and wear.
