A late Victorian bronze statue of John Bright by Sir William Hamo Thornycroft RA, dated 1891. Signed ‘Hamo Thornycroft, 1891’ to the base and inscribed ‘Published by Arthur Leslie Gollie 39B Old Bond Street London Sept 10th 1891’ to there reverse. Mounted on a red marble plinth. John Bright was a liberal and radical statesmen and politician, regarded as being one of the greatest orators of the Victorian period, being a promoter of free trade policies. 35 cm height.
Condition report: Good condition. Bronze with light age related wear. Plinth with some chips.
